Background Story

Allow me to introduce myself. My name is Rolf Ravnskov and I was born in 1965 in Denmark.
I got my first tattoo when I was 14 years old.

In 1993 I bought my first tattoo-kit and the following years I traveled in Denmark, Holland, Spain and Los Angeles among other places, plying my trade and honing my skill.

In 1995 I opened my first tattoo studio in Gladsaxe and have since moved the operation to Lyngby north of Copenhagen.

I have attended several tattoo conventions and have been given several recognitions of excellence and awards along the way for my special free hand style.

I work with both standard designs and free-hand work. When I do stone carving designs I use hand held sticks. When designing a free style tattoo I draw the design directly on the customer in harmony with the lines and muscles on the body.

Good To Know

Taking care of your tattoo. Congratulations on your new tattoo!! In order to enjoy your new tattoo we recommend that you read and follow the instructions below. The durability of your tattoo depends very much on the way you take care of it the first week to ten days. In some cases a liquid "band-aid" with disinfecting properties is sprayed on the new tattoo immediately after it is done. You should let that sit for at least 24 hours. After 24 hours you can wash it off using soap and water. Take care not to scrub or rub; be very gentle! If you did not have a liquid "band-aid" sprayed on you can wash the new tattoo with soap and water immediately. Again, take care not to scrub and rub. Treat the area gently. You should apply a thin coat of mildly disinfectant lotion (ask at you local Drug Store for an appropriate ointment) to the new tattoo for about 10 days or until the scab falls off. DO NOT USE SCENTED LOTIONS!!!

  • DO NOT scratch the scabs that form on top of the tattoo. It can create holes in the color. It is normal to experience some itching as the tattoo heals.
  • DO NOT expose the tattoo to direct sunlight or tanning equipment the first 2 weeks.
  • DO NOT expose the tattoo to saltwater or chlorine water the first 2 weeks.
  • DO NOT expose the tattoo to excessive baths or showers as this may cause the scab to fall off prematurely and potentially cause holes on the color.
  • AFTER the scab has fallen off I recommend you moisturize with a lotion that has Vitamin E in it. This will keep your skin supple, protect the color and guard against drying out so you can enjoy vibrant colors for years to come.
